🚨 Fertilizer Schedule Breakdown for Collards! 🚨

Here’s how I keep my collards thriving all season long:

🌱 Transplanting: I start with granular fertilizer right in the transplant hole. Then I sprinkle more granular fertilizer around the base of the plant, cover it with a layer of soil, and top it off with my favorite mulch (pine straw, of course!). For these transplants I used the Pure Gold Fertilizer by @drearthorganics

🌱 Feeding Schedule: After letting my collards settle in for a few weeks, I begin feeding them with a liquid fish emulsion fertilizer every 3 weeks. Fish emulsion is rich in nitrogen, making it perfect for green, leafy veggies like collards.

1️⃣ Check with your local extension office to see if there are fertilizer restrictions in your area—this helps avoid overuse and protects the environment.
2️⃣ Always follow the directions on the fertilizer container to ensure proper use and prevent over-fertilization.
