When people you help, love or trust reject you, keep it moving and ask God to teach YOU the lesson so YOU can get the blessing! All too often, when we perceive people have done us wrong, we want God to “get them” and we rally up all of our friends to remind us of how great, loyal, or faithful, or whatever we are as a way of reminding ourselves that we have value. But the truth is this: when people kick us out, do us ‘wrong’ or otherwise excommunicate us from their lives, businesses, or organizations, we will ALWAYS be blessed if we just GET THE LESSON. 1) Perhaps they were not ready for us. Our light could be too bright and rather than properly understanding and nurturing it, they ran from it. 2) What about us? There may have been things they did that we KNOW did not line up with our morals and values but we stayed – disobediently – anyway! 3) Perhaps we were not FULLY equipped to be in that position and we’ve been kicked out so we can get some of our own stuff right. All of the above was true for me, especially the third one. But because I chose to KEEP going and FIX MYSELF rather than focusing on what THEY did, I wound up leading a whole division at a new company and God made me a Vice President OVER the division that included the ring leader. In writing this message – I hold no grudge and I must say I love and even respect that person today – but the truth is what it is.

And your truth is this: when people don’t live up to what you expect for whatever reason, focus on God’s peace which is consistent and abundant, focus on YOURSELF, and get the lesson so you will be equipped to handle your next blessing!
