In this video I’m talking about how to stop bugs in the garden. The bad bugs are trying to stop use from growing something tasty. The techniques I use are for organic pest control. I am not using any pesticides in the garden. The first line of defense will be to use the yellow sticky traps from Amazon. The bad bugs will be attracted to the yellow sticky trap and they will die on it. The good bugs are not attracted to the trap which is great. The type of bugs this trap attracts are: white flies, aphids, leaf minors, flies, fungus gnats, and I have seen the cucumber beetle on it as well. They do not attract the squash bug though. The next technique to use are sprays. The neem oil spray and the peppermint spray are good to use. Make sure the need oil is 100% cold press with azadirachtin in it. This will help kill the chewing insects. The peppermint spray helps hide the scent of the plant scent to confuse the pest. Companion planting is another way to hide the scent of the plants. Marigolds, garlic, and onions are some the companion plants that I use. Lastly, ordering good bugs like lady bugs will help eat some of the bad bugs.
