In this video, I show how to plant garlic. I also list the times to plant garlic based on the grow zone. Garlic should be planted in the fall before the ground freezes up. There are 2 types of garlic, soft neck and hard neck garlic. Growers with hard winters should focus more on growing hard neck garlic. They can take the hard winter better than the soft neck garlic. I also give some examples of what to mulch the garlic bulbs with. The mulch will protect the garlic throughout the winter. It will also help feed the plant as the mulch breaks down.
