How to Keep Slugs off Plants?🪴 🪴

In this video I demonstrate how to keep Slugs off plants. The Slugs can destroy plant leaves by eating holes through them. They will eat on the fruits and vegetables as well. Slug control is very important especially if you want to enjoy eating the fruits and veggies in your garden. The beer trap is my best defense against these Slugs. The Slugs are attracted to the yeast in the beer. If you do not want to use beer to eliminate Slugs, there are yeast packets that can be purchased. You will have to mix the ingredients with water but be careful not to use too much water. If so the yeast will be to watered down for it to work. When using the beer, pour it in a small cup and place it by the affected plant. The Slugs will crawl into the cup and they will drown in the beer. Inorder to reuse the beer, place one cup inside the other one. Putting 5 or 6 holes in the inner cup will serve as a net to catch the Slugs. When removing the Slugs take the inner cup out to dump the Slugs then place it back in the cup with the beer. This will get rid of slugs around the affected plant. This is a chemical free slug trap that’s easy to make. Another method is by hand picking the Slugs off the plants. A good time to do this is early in the morning and at night. I also hand pick the Slugs after it rains. The Slugs like it when it’s moist.
