In this video I am demonstrating how to grow bell peppers from seed. I always plant the peppers in small containers first before transplanting outside. The containers will last a long time that’s why I love to use them. I want to make sure the pepper seeds are in loose soil to increase germination. Spreading vermiculite over the pepper seeds helps them germinate as well because the vermiculite is very light. When it comes to fertilizing the planting hole I use blood meal, VermisTerra worm castings, eggshells, and Mycos. Once the pepper plant is in the ground I use fish fertilizer to water it in. Using the yellow sticky traps is good to use to limit the bug pressure on the plant.
