In this video, I show how to air layer fruit trees. The tree that I air layer is Peachtree. The technique I use is the chili dog method. This is the easiest way to multiply your orchard for free. You will need a knife, gallon zip lock bag, potting soil, foil, water, and rooting hormone. The goal is to remove the outer layer of the branch to prepare it for the roots. The soil has to be moist to be a great place for the roots to develop. The rooting hormone is not a must-have but I think it will help. We are basically cloning the fruit trees. Following all the steps in the video will help beginners learn how to use this technique. Learning how to air layer will save money and it could possibly make money if you sell the trees. I am multiplying my orchard without having to spend money which is awesome.
