The topic for todays video is growing watermelons in compost bags update. The plant looks great. It has not sign of squash bug pressure and the plant is very green. Growing in the compost bag is working so far. The one correction I am making is to replace the fertilizing plastic bottle because ants are going in it. I placed too many holes in the bottle and the water is leaking out quickly. In the video I placed only 2 holes in the new bottle and its working great. This change makes a slow releasing fertilizing system. The plant will love this slow release fertilizer especially at the root of the plant. I also demonstrated how to fertilize the plant with the food scraps. This growing method is good for the elderly especially if they can not work the land anymore.
