Fall Grow Bag Garden Inspiration

I created this mock-up garden plan to show you how much variety you can pack into 10–15 gallon grow bags, all with the power of companion planting. Every plant in this setup is frost-tolerant, able to handle those cooler temps, making them perfect for a fall garden!

🛍️ Bag 1: 1 collard (try Morris Heading or Champion for year-long collards!) + 4–6 garlic plants
🛍️ Bag 2: 1 cabbage + 5+ onions (grow for bulbs or enjoy them as green onions)
🛍️ Bag 3: 2 kale plants + 4 garlic plants + 4 dill plants
🛍️ Bag 4: Carrots + chives + sage (several of each can fit here)
🛍️ Bag 5: Spinach + bok choy (several rows of each) + rows of chives on the outside for protection & flavor

This type of setup can also be done in pots or buckets, just make sure they have drainage holes. And don’t forget: always use a potting soil mix in containers so your plants thrive!
