Beginner Gardener Problems: When to Water and Fertilize My Seedlings?

My parsley seedlings are almost a month old, and I’m growing them indoors while the temperatures outside are still too cold here in January. They’ve started growing their first set of true leaves, which is so exciting! However, I’ve been struggling to figure out the perfect watering schedule. The last time I watered them was 8 days ago, and I’m wondering if they’re due for another drink soon.

I just ordered some liquid fertilizer, which should arrive in 2 days. Now I’m debating—should I wait until the fertilizer gets here so I can add it to the water when I finally water them, or should I give them water now? I’m also torn about the best method—do I bottom water to let the soil soak it up, or do I spray the top to keep the surface moist? These are the kinds of questions I’m figuring out as a newbie gardener.

If you’ve grown parsley indoors before, I’d love to hear your advice! How do you handle watering schedules for seedlings, and what’s the best way to introduce fertilizer at this stage?
