Harlem, NYC— The first ever NYC BARBER BATTLE and HAIR SHOW will feature some the hottest barbers and hairstylists from the metropolitan area and the northeast region. Some of today’s most popular cuts for men, including styles sported by trend-setting celebrities and the classics that never go out of fashion will be highlighted. Celebrities, motivational speakers, and industry icons will be in attendance. This stellar event is guaranteed to be visually exciting as well as entertaining.

The brainchild of Kamal Nuru of LEVELS BARBERSHOP, ANTIQUE BARBER, and BARBER WORL TV, the NYC BARBER BATTLE and HAIR SHOW will provide contestants an artistic opportunity to step away from behind the chair and let their creativity guide them through the competition.

Completion categories:
1. The NYC BARBER BATTLE and HAIR SHOW will include five categories: Face Off Battle — best portrait face of a person Time — 1 hour 15 minutes
2. Design Battle / with color — best design with color, time — 1 hour
3. Speed Battle/ fastest cut, 10 minutes
4. Old School Battle — Best old school hairstyle, Flattop, Gumby, slope
5. Female Barber Battle- best female cut, time – 35 minutes.
6. Student Barber Battle — best Haircut, time — 35 minutes.

In each competition competitor will be judged on the technical execution of the styles, originality, suitability, head contour, and new ideas.

In attendance a will be cutting and stylist celebrities such as Curtis Smith- celebrity Barber Puff Daddy, Johnny Cakes- celebrity Barber — Jay- Z, Major League Barbers – competitors and barber gear, Carlos- Solid Gold – Hair book ,Ivan Zoot — platform artist Geneses Book Of World Records holder/ Andis educator, G- Wiz -Wahl Clipper company platform artist and Wahl educator.

This show/competition offers local and national sponsors a prime venue to market their products to conscious industry specific consumers in one centralized location.
