In this video I go over how does rain water collections work. The diverter is very important because moves the water to to the barrels. The gutter has to be cut in order to attach it. The diverter needs to be above the hole in the barrel in order for the water to flow in the container. Once the barrels fill up the rain water will go down the gutter. There are no overflow valve in the 55 gallon drums. The diverter has a screen in it to block the debris from going in the barrels. This rain water system has a manifold at the bottom of the barrels and it helps the water fill in the barrels at the same time. This particular diverter gets a bad rap because the ratings are low. The reason is because if the triangle screen is not fitted correctly it will not collect water.
