In this video I’m showing how to grow watermelons in a unique method that many people don’t know about. This garden method grows watermelons from a bag of compost. A large plot is not needed in this method. People who do not have a large backyard can still grow watermelons. If you stay in apartments, this method is for you. The first thing to do is make drainage holes in the compost bag to make sure the roots are not drowned out. The next thing to do is preparing planting bag by cutting out 2 holes for planting and for the plastic fertilizing bottle. The compost bag has fertilizer that last for 9 months. I still fertilize the planting hole with VermisTerra worm casting, plant-tone, and Mycos. When making the fertilizing bottle, holes need to be put in the sides of the bottle. The plastic fertilizing bottle needs to be filled with fermented fruit scraps. This is going to be more fertilizer to feed the watermelon plants. Black plastic mulch was placed in the area where the watermelon plot is to kill out the weeds.
