It ain’t over! Yes, Jeffrey Williams AKA Young Thug AKA King Slime did close his case through a plea, but Yak Gotti and Shannon Stillwell have REJECTED their plea offers and demand that the trial continues! Let’s watch it all here! Let’s go!! Context: he remaining two defendants in the YSL trial have not accepted plea deals yet as the trial is expected to resume on Monday. Deamonte Kendrick, also known as Yak Gotti, and Shannon Stillwell, also known as SB, are facing multiple charges related to racketeering conspiracy and participation in criminal street gang activity, along with drug and gun violations. Prosecutors allege that Kendrick and Stillwell were part of a gang called YSL. They were originally on trial with Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, and three others. All four took plea deals this week. Williams was released from jail Thursday night after being sentenced to time served and 15 years on probation. After Williams was sentenced, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker spoke to prosecutors and the remaining defendants about the status of their plea deals. Deamonte Kendrick and Shannon Stillwell are the only remaining defendants in the YSL trial. Four other defendants, including Young Thug, took plea deals this week. The state asked Kendrick to plead guilty to conspiracy to violate Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and willful participation in street gang activity. They offered to reduce his murder charge to voluntary manslaughter. Under the agreement, the state would recommend he be sentenced to 15 years in prison and five years on probation on all charges. He would serve the sentences concurrently.
